Methods of obtaining independent third-party certification.

Post Assessment

• Attend a course with an ITRA instructor and practice those skills and techniques. Independent third-party evaluations are required. You are not allowed to have your ITRA instructor also conduct your assessment. You must schedule an assessment with a separate ITRA instructor or one will be arranged with your course of you are signed up for.

Direct Assessment

• You may already have years of rope rescue experience and are ready to take an assessment. You may contact an instructor directly and schedule an assessment with them. 

Upon passing an ITRA assessment, the candidate will be awarded certification to the level they just tested to. This certification is valid for 3 years from the date of the assessment.
